Doña Ana County Mission Statement Revision

DOŅA ANA COUNTY
STRATEGIC PLANNING INITIATIVE

PROPOSAL FOR DEVELOPMENT
OF A
MISSION STATEMENT

Doña Ana County is looking for an updated mission statement to guide preparation of its new strategic plan. A committee appointed by the individual members of the Doņa Ana County Board of Commissioners recently completed its review of potential mission statements that had been sent in by county residents.

The committee narrowed the field to three potential options that have been posted on the county website. Organizations and individuals, including Doņa Ana County employees, are encouraged to evaluate the options and send in their thoughts about the alternatives. A fourth draft was crafted by the management team for consideration.

Comments can address all four statements or explain why one mission statement is better than the others.

The Doņa Ana County Board of Commissioners will consider all four options and public comments prior to taking action on a new mission statement at their regular meeting on July 24.

The three options under consideration are as follows:

Comments can be emailed to input@donaanacounty.org, faxed to (575) 525-5948 or mailed to Commission Liaison Office, Doņa Ana County Government Center, 845 N. Motel Blvd., Las Cruces, N.M. 88007. All feedback must be received no later than 2 p.m. Friday, July 13, to be considered.
