Purchasing Department

The purchasing department is responsible for all procurement for county departments.

• It maintains vendor files, places orders and oversees deliveries and shipments of merchandise.
• Maintaining inventories and fixed assets or property reports and transfers or tagging of county equipment are other duties.
• The department also coordinates all shipping, freight deliveries or pickups and handles requisitions, deliveries and purchases for the county fire departments.
• Also under the department's supervision is the county central storeroom for office supplies.
• The department oversees bid documents, pre-bids, announcements, bid openings and contract awards.
• It also is responsible for contract documentation.
• In addition, the department coordinates auctions of surplus county equipment, maintains a vehicle inventory including licenses and identification.
