COUNTY OFFICES ANNOUNCE HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

Most Dona Ana County offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, to allow employees to observe the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., holiday. Emergency services and law enforcement in the field will not be affected, but the administrative offices of the Doña Ana County Sheriff's Department will be closed. Saturation patrols and DWI checkpoints will be conducted in the field.

PET-ADOPTION EVENTS SLATED ON SATURDAY, JAN. 19

The Animal Services Center of the Mesilla Valley will facilitate dog, cat, puppy and kitten adoptions this Saturday, Jan. 19. In addition to adoptions from the shelter site, adoptions also will take place at two off-site pet adoption events.

ELLINS ANNOUNCES SCOTT KRAHLING AS ELECTIONS SUPERVISOR

Doña Ana County Clerk Lynn Ellins has selected former District 4 Doña Ana County Commissioner Scott A. Krahling as the new supervisor of elections. Krahling was one of 19 applicants for the position, and one of two who made it through to the interview stage.
