FIREFIGHTERS OFFER TO SHAVE HEADS FOR CHARITY
At least 10 Doña Ana County paid and volunteer firefighters have teamed up to help New Mexico children with cancer. The firefighters have pledged to collect at least $1,000 in donations and then shave their heads when they meet their fundraising goal in support of the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, the world's largest volunteer-driven fundraising event for childhood cancer research. read more...

NEW STUDENT ART SHOW ANNOUNCED; RECEPTION SCHEDULED FOR APRIL 4
More than 100 pieces of original student artwork from the Las Cruces and Gadsden public schools have been installed in the first-floor corridors of the Doña Ana County Government Center at 845 N. Motel Blvd. in Las Cruces. The exhibit includes paintings, etchings, drawings and a gigantic papier-mâché and fabric dragon hung in the rotunda. The artists range from elementary students to high schoolers.

DEPUTIES TAKE PART IN TIP-A-COP PROGRAM TO SUPPORT SPECIAL OLYMPICS

Certain Doña Ana County property owners who occupy single-family dwellings may be eligible for a freeze of their taxable value as determined by the Doña Ana County Assessor's Office. Freezing the property valuation will minimize future tax obligations for those who qualify. read more...
