NOTICE OF POTENTIAL QUORUM: JULY 14, 2006

Notice is hereby given that a quorum of the Board of County Commissioners may attend two upcoming meetings. The purpose of this notice is merely to inform the public that its elected member of the Board may be attending the following meetings: Access to Care - Healthy Communities Access Program (HCAP). The meeting will be Friday, July 14th at the Dona Ana County Governmental Center at 8:30 am at 845 N. Motel in the commissioners chambers and a follow-up meeting at Memorial Medical Center at 11:30 a.m., 2450 N. Telshor. Members of the public are welcome to communicate their respective concerns relating to the topic of the meeting to their commissioners. SHERIFF GARRISON ANNOUNCES COMMUNITY POLICING INITIATIVE

The Doña Ana County Sheriff's Department has created a new division devoted primarily to the rural residents of Doña Ana County. The Community Enforcement Response Team (CERT) is a community-oriented policing division initially staffed by four deputies.

FOUR-WAY STOP IN PLAY FOR THORPE ROAD/DOÑA ANA ROAD INTERSECTION

The Doña Ana County Engineering Office – in conjunction with the New Mexico Department of Transportation – will post four-way stop signs at the intersection of Thorpe and Doña Ana Roads. The new signs will go up on July 12, 2006.
