FOUR-WAY STOP IN PLAY FOR THORPE ROAD/DOÑA ANA ROAD INTERSECTION
The Doña Ana County Engineering Office – in conjunction with the New Mexico Department of Transportation – will post four-way stop signs at the intersection of Thorpe and Doña Ana Roads. The new signs will go up on July 12, 2006.

MOUNTED PATROL BEGINS FUNDRAISER FOR INJURED DEPUTY

DOÑA ANA COUNTY AIRPORT TO HOST WOMEN RACE PILOTS
The 30th Annual Air Race Classic all-women’s transcontinental air race (ARC) will take place June 20-23, 2006. This year’s race will begin in Mesa, Arizona, and end in Menominee, Mich., with stops along the way in Santa Teresa, N.M., Ozona and Bryan, Texas, Bastrop, La., Ada, Okla., and Lawrence, Kan.

LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS PLAN CAR WASH TO BENEFIT COLLEAGUE
Officers from the Doña Ana County Sheriff's Department, the Doña Ana County Detention Center, the New Mexico State Police, the Las Cruces Police Department and the New Mexico State University Fire Department will volunteer their time on Saturday, June 10, for a benefit car wash, proceeds of which will go to the family of Deputy Scott Knoll. Other agencies may also participate.

FLOOD PROJECT TO REROUTE HANGAR LAKE ROAD TRAFFIC
