COUNTY TREASURER STUDYING STATE INVESTMENTS IN WAKE OF ARRESTS
Doña Ana County Treasurer Jim Schoonover has announced that his office will work with state officials to determine whether this morning’s racketeering arrests of New Mexico state Treasurer Robert Vigil and former State Treasurer Michael Montoya pose any risk to the safety of county funds invested through the State of New Mexico.

COUNTY OFFICIALS INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN COMMUNITY-APPRECIATION EVENT
Doña Ana County’s 10 elected officials, management and staff have been recognized for efforts to assist with relief efforts targeted to victims of Hurricane Katrina and have been invited to a Sept. 17 event at Sun Lanes to thank the community for its response to the disaster.
