On Thursday mornings, you can tune in to the following stations: KGRT Morning Country Show with Joel and Patricia at approximately 7:40 a.m., then on HOT 103.1’s Morning Show (approx. 8:02-8:05 a.m.). In addition, you can hear updates throughout the week at various times on AM 570, KSNM.

VETERANS’ SERVICE OFFICE MOVES TO NEW LOCATION

The Las Cruces field office of the New Mexico Department of Veterans’ Services has relocated to 2024 E. Griggs in Las Cruces. The office telephone number, (505) 524-6220, has not changed.

EARLY VOTING UNDERWAY AT DOÑA ANA COUNTY COURTHOUSE

The Doña Ana County Bureau of Elections is open for early voting through June 3, in advance of the June 6 Primary Elections. The Bureau of Elections is located in the Doña Ana County Courthouse at 251 W. Amador Ave. in Las Cruces.

COUNTY GOVERNMENT CENTER OPENS TO PUBLIC ON MAY 12

The first phase of Doña Ana County’s move to the new Government Center at 845 N. Motel Blvd. is underway. The building will open to the public at 8 a.m. Friday, May 12. Beginning May 12, public access will be limited to departments that already have relocated and become operational. Additional lobbies and office areas will open on a phased basis, according to the move schedule. read more...

VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER ARRESTED IN DAIRY ARSONS

The Doña Ana County Sheriff's Department has arrested Jonathon Morales, 20, of Mesquite, who is charged with three third-degree felony charges of arson, as well as several counts of attempted arson, all related to a series of fires that were reported in the early morning hours of April 17 at three separate dairies off of Stern Drive south of Las Cruces.

COUNTY’S SOLID-WASTE TRANSFER STATIONS ANNOUNCE HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

Dona Ana County’s solid-waste convenience stations – located in Anthony, La Mesa, Hill, Butterfield, Mesquite, La Union, Hatch and Garfield – will close Sunday, April 16, in observance of the Easter holiday. The convenience stations in Anthony, La Mesa, Hill, Butterfield, Mesquite and Hatch, will re-open Monday, April 17. The convenience stations in La Union and Garfield will reopen Friday, April 21, 2006.
