NEW STUDENT ART SHOW ANNOUNCED

More than 100 pieces of original student artwork from the Las Cruces and Gadsden public schools have been installed in the first-floor corridors of the Doña Ana County Government Center at 845 N. Motel Blvd. in Las Cruces. The exhibit includes paintings, etchings and drawings. The artists range from elementary students to high school students. read more...

DRIPPING SPRINGS DETOUR AND BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION SET TO GET UNDERWAY

Doña Ana County crews have begun moving dirt to construct a detour north of a section of Dripping Springs Road where an arroyo crosses the thoroughfare. After the detour is completed, crews will begin work to install a new bridge. read more...

STATE NOTIFIES COUNTY THAT SPACEPORT TAX WILL NOT BE DELAYED

The New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department today notified Doña Ana County that it will begin collecting Spaceport America gross-receipts taxes on Jan. 1, 2008, despite a resolution passed Oct. 10 by the Doña Ana County Board of Commissioners seeking a delay of the tax collection by at least six months.

BUREAU OF ELECTIONS FINE-TUNES PRECINCT BOUNDARIES USING ADVANCED GIS

The Doña Ana County Bureau of Elections, working in close coordination with the Doña Ana County Planning Department’s GIS Division, is revising precinct boundaries throughout Doña Ana County to ensure that all registered voters are voting in the right polling places for the correct slates of candidates.
