COUNTY EMPLOYEES DONATE 600+ GIFTS TO AREA YOUTH
For eight years, Doña Ana County employees have ensured that children in the county’s neediest communities will have something to unwrap this holiday season. During the past month, a county-wide toy drive has been underway to gather more than 600 gifts that will be handed out during Winter Celebrations at six Doña Ana County Community Resource Centers.

COUNTY OFFICES ANNOUNCE HOLIDAY SCHEDULE
Most Dona Ana County offices will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 24-25, 2011, to allow employees to observe the Thanksgiving holiday. COMMISSIONER TO HOST CHAPARRAL COMMUNITY CENTERS MEETING
District 2 Doña Ana County Commissioner Dolores Saldaña-Caviness will host a community meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, at the Betty McKnight Community Resource Center in Chaparral to gather public input about proposed uses of three area community resource centers.

TREASURER REMINDS PROPERTY OWNERS OF PAYMENT DEADLINE
Doña Ana County Treasurer David Gutierrez has announced that the 2011 tax bills have been mailed out, and property owners have until Dec. 10 to pay before state-mandated interest and penalties begin to accumulate.
