From the sweetest smile to the trickiest dog, the Animal Services Center of the Mesilla Valley will welcome a host of pets to its 6th Annual Mutt Show to benefit the shelter.
The event will take place Saturday, May 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Young Park in Las Cruces.
Pet owners can register their mutts in one or more of 10 categories, including biggest paws, most obedient, and best costume. The entry fee is $5 per category or $25 for unlimited participation. Registration begins at 9 a.m. the day of the event.
Adoptions also will be facilitated at the Mutt Show, as well as K-9 demonstrations and a Frisbee contest.
