AINSWORTH JOINS COUNTY TEAM AS DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

            Doña Ana County Manager Fernando R. Macias has announced the appointment of Christina Ainsworth as Doña Ana County’s Director of Community Development.
            Ainsworth holds a master’s degree in public administration from Sul Ross State University and a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Yale University.
            She comes to Doña Ana County from Los Lunas, where she was the Director of Community Development. Prior to that, she had an extensive career with the City of El Paso where she was promoted through various leadership positions in the Development Services Department, including plans examiner, senior planner and lead planner.
            Ainsworth is certified among the American Institute of Certified Planners and the International Code Council as a certified building official, residential combination inspector, commercial building inspector and a commercial building plans examiner. 
            In her position as Director of Community Development, Ainsworth will oversee long-range community development planning, strategies, policies and procedures, as well as the operation of Geographic Information Systems, permitting processes and inspections. She will also supervise the administration process on zoning, subdivisions and other related ordinances.
