5. Proclaim the Week of April 10-16, 2016, as Public Safety Telecommunications week in Doña Ana County – Introduced by District 4 Commissioner, Chairman Wayne Hancock; Jess Williams, Public Information/Commission Liaison, will read the Proclamation.

6. A Proclamation Declaring April 23 – 30 as ‘Money Smart Week’ in Doña Ana County – Jess Williams, Public Information/Commission Liaison, will read the Proclamation.

11. Presentation by Steve Kopelman, New Mexico Association of Counties (NMAC) Executive Director, and Sharon Stover, NMAC President/Los Alamos County Clerk, Highlighting its Services to the Counties – Introduced by District 2 Commissioner Vice-Chairman Dr. David Garcia.

12. Approve Resolution Amending the Doña Ana County Americans with Disabilities Act Advisory Committee (ADAAC) By-Laws – Meg Haines, Human Resources, will discuss.

13. Approve a Resolution Authorizing an Application to the Department of Finance and Administration, local Governments Division to Participate in the Juvenile Adjudication Program – Jamie Michael, Director, Health and Human Services, will discuss.

14. Approve Award for Request for Proposal 16-0028 for Executive Search Consultant Services and Delegate Signature Authority to the County Manager for all Related Contract Documents – Deborah Weir, HR Director, will discuss.

15. Approve Purchase of Verizon Services and Equipment in Excess of $50,000 for Fiscal Year 2016 – Bob Bunting, Manager, Information Technology, will discuss.

16. Approve Payments made to Desert Automotive – Enrique Vigil, Sheriff, will discuss.

17. Discussion of Establishment of Detention Center Citizen Advisory Committee and Results of Facility Needs Assessment Review – Julia Brown, County Manager, will discuss.

CORRESPONDENCE

18. Lynn Ellins, County Clerk, will present to the Commission any claims received by Doña Ana County.

COMMISSION MAY CONVENE IN CLOSED SESSION subject to the attorney-client privilege to discuss threatened or pending litigation Veronica Apodaca v. BOCC, D-307-CV-2015-00094, and Mark Hiles v. Doña Ana County, et al., CV-2016-00129, and a Tort Claim Notice filed by Christopher Barela; and to discuss bargaining strategy preliminary to collective bargaining negotiations with the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, NM Council 18, Local 1529 (Detention Center) and Local 1879 (Court Security); as authorized by the Open Meetings Act, NMSA 1978, § 10-15-1 (H) (5) and (7) respectively.

COMMISSION MAY CONVENE IN OPEN SESSION to take action, if any, on the closed session items.
