ANIMAL CONTROL SCALES BACK TO WINTER SCHEDULE

ANIMAL CONTROL SCALES BACK TO WINTER SCHEDULE

Doña Ana County’s Animal Control field staff will switch to winter hours beginning Nov. 3. Winter operational hours will remain in effect through March 8, 2020.
Officers will be in the field from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week, excluding holidays.  Holiday hours will remain from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
After-hours animal emergencies will be managed from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Residents are advised not to trap stray dogs/cats after 5 p.m. as officers will be unlikely to retrieve them until the following day.
During winter hours, there will be one officer on call after 7 p.m., for emergencies only.
Please call 911 to report an emergency, which includes animal bites to humans, animal attacks against humans or livestock, injured animals or suspected rabies cases.
For non-emergencies, please call (575) 526-0795 and choose option 6, which is the Mesilla Valley Regional Dispatch Authority. A dispatch operator will direct an Animal Control Officer to the location you provide.
You may choose whether to remain anonymous or provide your contact information.
