BUREAU OF ELECTIONS ANNOUNCES 2018 ‘ELECTION OFFICIAL SCHOOL’

            The Doña Ana County Bureau of Elections has released the training schedule for more than 200 election officials who will be working the polls in the 2018 Primary Election.

            Election officials – or poll workers – often work 14 hour-days during an election and receive financial compensation. Some of the duties of a poll worker include: opening and closing the polls, setting up voting equipment, issuing ballots and recording vote totals.

            Training begins next week at the following locations:
