COMMISSION CONVENES AS THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AND THE COUNTY BOARD OF FINANCE IN OPEN SESSION.

1. Swearing-In Ceremony for Manuel A. Sanchez as Doña Ana County Commissioner, District 5, oath administered by the Honorable James T. Martin, Chief Judge, Third Judicial District Court.

2. Elect Chairperson—Fernando R. Macias, County Manager.

PRESENTATIONS and PROCLAMATION:

3. Proclaim April 2019 as Child Abuse Prevention Month in Doña Ana County, proclamation accepted by Doreen Gallegos, Executive Director of Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), requested by Commissioner Ramon Gonzalez.

4. Proclaim the Week of April 7, 2019, as Barbershop Quartet Week in Doña Ana County, requested by the Cactus Chords Barbershop Quartet.

5. Proclaim April 2019 as Parkinson’s Awareness Month in Doña Ana County, requested by Jon Roberts, a board member of the Parkinson’s Disease Support Group of Southern New Mexico.

6. Presentation on Jetport Construction Projects—Bill Provance, Jetport Manager.

7. Presentation by County Lobbyist Summarizing 2019 Legislative Session—Charlie Marquez, State Lobbyist.

10. Purchase of Mobile Radios and Accessories Utilizing State Contract with Motorola Solutions—Nicholas Hempel, Fire Chief, will discuss.

11. Purchase of One (1) 2019 Ford F250 Extended Cab Truck for Use by the Road Department—Gabriel Silva, Fleet Manager, will discuss.

12. Resolution to Authorize the Auction and Disposal of Obsolete Equipment—Don Bullard, Purchasing Manager, will discuss.

13. Utilization of Multiple Pricing Agreements to Purchase Vehicles and All Law Enforcement Related Equipment for One Chevrolet Traverse and Six Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab Trucks—Sheriff Kim Stewart, will discuss.

16. Resolution Superseding Resolution 2019-06 and Confirming the Board’s 2019 Appointments to Various Committees and Joint Governmental Entities—Fernando R. Macias, County Manager, will discuss.

17. Notice to Stop Accepting Septic Waste—Dan Sambrano, Utilities Manager, will present.

18. Renewal of the Self-Funded PPO Option to Blue Cross Blue Shield for the County’s FY20 Medical/Prescription Drugs Insurance—Lani Davis, Senior HR Administrator, will discuss.

CORRESPONDENCE

19. Cindy C. Padilla, County Clerk’s Office, will present to the Commissioner any claims received by Doña Ana County.

COMMISSION MAY CONVENE IN CLOSED SESSION, to discuss a bargaining strategy preliminary to collective bargaining negotiations with the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, NM Council 18, Local 1879 (Court Security) and Local 1529 (Detention Center) and the Communication Workers of America Local 7911 as authorized by the Open Meetings Act, NMSA 1978, § 10-15-1 (H)(5).

THE COMMISSION MAY CONVENE IN OPEN SESSION to take action, if any, on the closed session items
