COUNTY PERSONNEL TO CANVASS BAMERT AREA NEIGHBORHOOD

COUNTY PERSONNEL TO CANVASS BAMERT AREA NEIGHBORHOOD

Doña Ana County Animal Control and Codes Enforcement, along with Planning and Constituent Services personnel, will be going door-to-door in the Bamert area on Thursday, June 7, to offer education on domestic-animal ordinances, recycling, trash accumulation, inoperable vehicles, weed control and other potential environmental and zoning codes violations.

The Animal Control and Environmental Survey (ACES) program aims to educate residents on how to come into compliance with county ordinances involving domestic animals and solid waste, while offering opportunities to beautify the area where they live. In recent years, multiple ACES projects have been conducted countywide.

On Saturday, June 16, from 9 a.m. to noon, as part of the clean-up initiative and outreach to the community, a roll-off container and a tire shredder will be available to the community until the containers are filled. Other community outreach services will be available, including low-cost rabies vaccinations and scheduling of spay/neuter operations for pets.
