COUNTY PERSONNEL WILL CANVASS CHAPARRAL NEIGHBORHOODS

COUNTY PERSONNEL WILL CANVASS CHAPARRAL NEIGHBORHOODS

Doña Ana County Animal Control and Codes Enforcement, along with Planning and Constituent Services representatives will go door-to-door in the Chaparral area, Thursday, Oct. 10. They will provide information on domestic animal ordinances, recycling, trash accumulation, inoperable vehicles, weed control and other potential environmental and zoning codes violations.
The Animal Control and Environmental Survey (ACES) program aims to educate residents on how to comply with county ordinances involving domestic animals and solid waste, while offering opportunities to beautify the area where they live.  Enforcement officers conduct ACES throughout the year, countywide.
As part of the clean-up initiative and outreach to this community, a roll-off and tire shredder will be available from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 19.
Personnel will also offer low-cost microchipping, rabies vaccinations and help scheduling spay and neuter operations for pets.
For more information, please contact the Doña Ana County Animal Control and Codes Enforcement Department at (575) 525-8846.
