FIREFIGHTER ACADEMY TO GRADUATE 16

 

     Sixteen new firefighters will be sworn in next Thursday after having successfully completed the 19th Doña Ana County Fire and Emergency Services Firefighter Academy. 

The academy consists of 80 hours of classroom instruction and skills practice over the course of 10 consecutive weekends. Topics of instruction include fire safety, fire behavior, building construction, fire extinguishers, forcible entry, fire streams, proper use of gear and equipment, and ropes.

 The public is invited to attend the graduation ceremony, which will take place in the Commission Chambers of the Doña Ana County Government Center on April 12, 2018, at 6 p.m.

The graduating firefighters are: Roberto Flores, Cody Forrister, Christopher Kleine, Juan Loya, Christian Kearns, John Nunn, Catherine Olmstead, Gabriel Ortiz, Tristiano Quezada, Rick Richardson, Dylan Sharp, Morgan Smith, Jose Torres, Alex Villegas, Aloyd Villegas and Christopher Villegas.

The public is encouraged to attend.
