FIREFIGHTER ACADEMY TO GRADUATE NINETEEN

 

     Nineteen new firefighters will be sworn in Thursday after having successfully completed the 21st Doña Ana County Fire and Emergency Services Firefighter Academy. 
     The academy consists of 88 hours of classroom instruction and skills practice over the course of 10 consecutive weekends. Topics of instruction include fire safety, fire behavior, building construction, fire extinguishers, forcible entry, fire streams, proper use of gear and equipment, and ropes.
     The public is invited to attend the graduation ceremony, which will take place in the Commission Chambers of the Doña Ana County Government Center on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018, at 6 p.m.
     The graduating firefighters are Victoria Dominguez, Jacob Eck, Matthew French, Nicollette Gleason, Cesar Gonzalez, Anthony Herrera, Brandon Lewis, Jose Loya, Soriano Martin, Jacob McCormick, Victor Miranda, Amanda Ornelas, Jordan Phillips, Allyson Puentes, Derrick Rios, Roberto Sella-Gonzalez, Blanca Torres and Mauricio Vasquez.
     The public is encouraged to attend.
