FOURTEEN APPLY FOR COUNTY CLERK POSITION

Fourteen people have applied to fill the vacancy left by Doña Ana County Clerk Scott A. Krahling’s resignation, which takes effect Friday, Sept. 7.

The deadline to apply was today at 5 p.m.

The Doña Ana County Board of Commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, in the Commission Chambers of the Doña Ana County Government Center for their first regular meeting of the month. Item 1 on the agenda is discussion of the process to fill the vacancy and, if appropriate, announce a selection.   Applicants who attend the meeting will be given a brief opportunity to address the commission during the discussion phase of the agenda item. Public input also will be allowed.  The meeting will be streamed live on the county’s website at www.donaanacounty.org.

The application packets of the individual applicants are attached and will also be included in the agenda packet, which will be posted to the website late Friday, Sept. 7.
