NEW BUS ROUTE CONNECTS GARFIELD TO LAS CRUCES

     Starting Monday, October 28, the South Central Regional Transit District will operate a new bus route, transporting passengers from Garfield, Salem, Hatch, Rincon, Radium Springs and Doña Ana to the City of Las Cruces. Green bus route
     The new green route will provide bus riders access to school, work, medical appointments and other locations. In short, this service enables more Doña Ana County residents to travel routinely more independently.
     The green route will operate four roundtrips Monday through Friday, starting in Garfield at 6:10 a.m. and ending with its final stop at 7:15 p.m.  The 14-passenger bus is WiFi-enabled and provides heat and air conditioning.
     In Las Cruces, stops include Doña Ana Community College, East Mesa Campus, Mountain View Regional Medical Center and Memorial Medical Center, Mesilla Valley Mall and New Mexico State University.  District buses will share bus stops and shelters provided by RoadRunner Transit.
     Bus schedules are available on the bus and at local activity centers, including Las Cruces City Hall and Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, La Clinica de Familia and post offices near bus stops, along the route. Schedules are also available via Google Maps.
