The Doña Ana County Planning and Zoning Commission will consider the following agenda at a Regular Meeting to be held on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 9:00 a.m., in the County Commission Chambers of the Doña Ana County Government Center, 845 N. Motel Blvd., Las Cruces, NM 88007:

  3. Approval of Minutes: Regular Meeting of February 22, 2018.
  4. Old Business:
    1. CASE # V17-011 / Camarena: The applicant, Dora Camarena, is requesting a Variance to the maximum allowable height of a rear yard wall. The applicant is proposing a 10 ft. wall at the rear property line where a maximum height allowed is 6 ft. in a T3 zone. The 1.71-acre parcel is addressed at 39 Cielo Vista Drive in Doña Ana County and is Lot 7 Block 5 of the Cielo Dorado Estates Subdivision. Recorded on December 26, 2017 Instrument No. 0742306, in the Doña Ana County Clerk’s Office. It can be further identified by Parcel No. R1704626.

  5. New Business:
    1. CASE #SU18-001 / Gallegos & Marshall: The applicants, Donna L. Gallegos and Nancy B. Marshall, are requesting a Special Use Permit to operate Equine Assisted Programs of Southern New Mexico, LLC and conduct business as a behavioral health counseling center. The property is within a D1-L (Low Density Residential-Limited) Zone. The 2.61-acre parcel is located at 190 Providence Rd., north of the Village of Doña Ana within Township 22 South, Range 1 East, Section 10, and was recorded on November 14, 2017, with Instrument No. 1726554, in the Doña Ana County Clerk’s office. It can be further identified by Parcel No. R0329387.
    2. SU18-002/Gonzales: The applicant, Mark Gonzales, is requesting a Special Use Permit within a D1 Zoning District (Low Density Residential) to remove two conditions from an approved Special Use Permit (Case #SU09-015). The applicant requests the removal of two conditions that limit the number of dogs to fifteen (15) and prohibits the lease, transfer, or conveyance of the property to someone outside of the family. The applicant is also proposing a future kennel of five hundred sq. ft. (10’ X 50’). The 1.16-acre subject parcel is located north of W. Picacho Ave. and east of Shalem Colony Rd., is addressed at 3980 Sparrow Rd., and is within Section 9, Township 23S, Range 1E. It is described as U.S.R.S Tract 8-4C as recorded in the Office of the Doña Ana County Clerk in Book 10, Pages 65-66 on April 7, 1995, and can be further identified by Parcel No. R0317529.
