5. New Business:

a) Case #Z17-002: The applicant, Miguel Lucero, Souder Miller & Assoc., Agent, is requesting a Zone Change on two parcels (to be combined) totaling 2.11 acres (1.11 acres & 1.0 acres) from a D1 (Low Density Residential) Zoning District to an I1 (Light Industrial) Zoning District to establish an open storage yard on the properties with NMDOT approved access from Las Alturas Dr. The subject properties are located south of the City of Las Cruces and east of I-10, within Section 3, Township 24 South, Range 2 East, and are addressed as 4016 & 4026 Las Piedras Rd., Las Cruces, NM. They are described as Lots 1 & 2 of the EBL&T Co. Subdivision “B”, Replat No. 14, as recorded in the Office of the Doña Ana County Clerk on April 29, 2014, in Book 23, Pages 592-593. The subject parcels can be further identified by Parcel ID #’s R0329963 & R0329964.
