SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT SPONSORS DRUG TAKE BACK

     Doña Ana County residents are encouraged to dispose of unused, expired or unwanted prescription medications by participating in the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, Oct. 26.Prescription Drug Take Back Day Saturday, Oct. 26
     Sponsored in part by the Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Department, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Las Cruces Police Department, the program provides residents an opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous drugs. 
     The service is free and anonymous, and all drugs surrendered are safely destroyed.
     The locations throughout Doña Ana County listed below will accept medications from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26:
