The Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Department will auction off more than 40 vehicles to the highest bidders on Saturday, Oct. 13.
The vehicles range from a 1982 GMC pickup to a 2011 Honda four-door, and were previously owned by convicted repeat DWI offenders. New Mexico law allows for the forfeiture of vehicles driven by people whose licenses have been revoked for driving under the influence.
The auction begins at 9 a.m. at 2821B Las Vegas Court in Las Cruces and is open to the public. All bidders must pre-register, and winners are required to pay in cash. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. and interested buyers can view the vehicles starting at 7 a.m. Saturday.
