    OBJECTIVE: To streamline communication between local government agencies during the COVID-19 response. Partner organizations include city and county representatives, local hospitals, the Department of Health, jail and prison facilities, first responders, the Las Cruces Public School district, the Town of Mesilla, City of Anthony, City of Sunland Park and Village of Hatch.  

  • LAS CRUCES, NM - En respuesta a la pandemia mundial en curso, la Oficina del Secretario del Condado de Doña Ana está anunciando cambios en los lugares de votación del Día de las Elecciones. El 30 de abril, los Comisionados del Condado de Doña Ana y la Oficina del Secretario del Condado de Doña Ana recibieron la aprobación del Tercer Tribunal Judicial para consolidar temporalmente el número de centros de conveniencia de votación (VCC) de 40 ubicaciones a 21 ubicaciones para la Elección Primaria 2020 únicamente.

  • With the three-day Memorial Day holiday set to begin, members of the Las Cruces City Council and Dona Ana County Board of Commissioners are urging residents to enjoy the unofficial start of summer at home.

    “With a partial re-opening of El Paso underway, it’s very tempting for residents of Las Cruces and Dona Ana County to cross the state line to visit restaurants, stores and other attractions over the long weekend,” said Mayor Ken Miyagishima. “But the commercial activity underway in El Paso doesn’t mean the coronavirus threat has gone away.”

  •           The Joint Information Center (JIC) is advising Doña Ana County residents to stay vigilant and observe COVID-19 safety precautions over the Memorial Day holiday.  

    The Memorial Day weekend is traditionally reserved for family gatherings and travel, but with area parks and recreation sites still closed due to the pandemic, the JIC is discouraging residents from gathering in large groups or unnecessary travel.
