6. Case # SU07-011/MENDOZA: The applicants, Xavier and Cindy Mendoza, are requesting a Special Use Permit within the EC2 Zoning District (Commercial, Community Commercial District) to continue the operation of a catering and outdoor event business. The 11.49-acre parcel is addressed at 3900 W. Picacho Ave., and is located within Section 16, T23S, R1E. The subject property is described as Tract #2 of the Fairacres Post Office Replat #1, and can be further identified by Map Code # 4-003-135-480-230.

7. Case # SU08-001/ICFS: The applicant, International Church of the Four Squares, is requesting a Special Use Permit to establish a church in an existing 4208 sq. ft. single-family site-built home in the ER3M Zoning District (Residential, 1-acre minimum new lot size, single-family site built and mobile homes). Pursuant to Article III, Section 3.1.C.1.d.8, of the ETZ Ordinance, churches require a Special Use Permit in the ER3M District. The 5.0-acre subject parcel is addressed as 5638 Lassiter Rd., west of Stern Drive and I-10, within Section 3, T24S, R2E, and can be further identified by Map Code # 4-010-139-107-340.

8. Case # SU08-002/LAND The applicant, Michael Land, is requesting a Special Use Permit within the ER5 Zoning District (Residential, 1/3-acre minimum new lot size, single-family site built homes) to construct accessory living quarters for an elderly parent. The proposed 720 sq. ft. accessory living quarters will be located on the 0.25-acre subject property addressed at 5194 Creek Trail, Las Cruces, NM 88012. The subject property is located within Section 13, T21S, R1E, is described as Lot #3J, Block 12 of the Elephant Butte Land & Trust Subdivision C, Correction to Amendment 1 & 2, Block 12-15, and can be further identified by Map Code # 4-006-129-390-501.

9. CASE# SU08-003/PRATZ The applicants, Kyle and Tracy Pratz, are requesting a Special Use Permit to keep horses in the ER4M Zoning District (Residential, ½ -acre minimum new lot size, single-family site-built and mobile homes). The applicants seek to have six horses on the 2.17-acre parcel and shall conform with all design standards appertaining to the housing of large animals. The subject parcel is addressed at 656 Morton Ln. within Section 20, T23S, R1E, is located west of the City of Las Cruces, south of Picacho Avenue, & can be further identified by Map Code # 4-002-136-496-270.

10. Review of a Proposed Modification to Amendment 2007-01 to the Las Cruces Extra-Territorial Zoning Ordinance (No. 88-02), Article VIII, “Keeping of Animals.” The ETZ will make a recommendation to the ETA on this issue.
