COUNTY SEEKS APPLICANTS FOR ADA ADVISORY COMMITTEE VACANCY

            Doña Ana County is seeking applications from residents interested in serving on the County’s Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Advisory Committee. 

            The advisory committee studies a broad range of issues related to ADA requirements and implementation and assists the county in identifying and setting priorities for compliance projects.

            The advisory committee meets on a regular basis at the Doña Ana County Government Center, 845 N. Motel Blvd. in Las Cruces. 

            Residents are invited to apply who meet one or more of the following criteria: 1) have significant disabilities included within the protections of the ADA; 2) have experience in ADA compliance; or 3) have a background or experience in disability and accessibility related matters who are not Doña Ana County officials or staff members.

            Applications will be accepted through 5 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 28. Applications can be downloaded from the county website, https://donaanacounty.org/ada  and are also available at the Doña Ana County Human Resources Department, 845 N. Motel Blvd., Suite 2-190, Las Cruces, N.M., 88007.

            Residents who wish to have an application mailed to them may call (575) 525-5881.  Residents calling from outside the Las Cruces area may call toll-free at 1-877-827-7200.        Applications can be mailed or delivered to the Doña Ana County Human Resources Department at 845 N. Motel Blvd., Suite 2-190, Las Cruces, N.M., 88007, to the attention of the EEO Specialist/ADA Coordinator. Completed applications may also be faxed to (575) 525-5888.
