OBJECTIVE: To streamline communication between local government agencies during the COVID-19 response. Partner organizations include city and county representatives, local hospitals, the Department of Health, jail and prison facilities, first responders, the Las Cruces Public School district, the Town of Mesilla, City of Anthony, City of Sunland Park and Village of Hatch.

A press release was sent out advising the Las Cruces Police Department’s Station Office will be closed on Monday for the Memorial Day holiday but will be open for records and evidence pickup on Tuesday, May 26.

Senior walks taking place at Columbia (old site) and Sonoma Elementary. This year will be a drive-through ceremony.

Had 200+ come through drive-through tent at the back lot of the hospital. Testing going well and a line is forming again this morning.  

MountainView Regional Medical Center

El Paso ran a story about reaching capacity at UMC. Saw an uptick from retail opening and Mother’s Day in relation to those hospital numbers. Has not seen a jump in patient population here locally, although positive numbers rise.  

*Jacquie conducted an audit at all El Paso hospitals and while UMC was experiencing numbers at capacity, all other area hospitals are reporting comfortable stats and are not at capacity.
