  1. City of Anthony 

 City manager: nothing new to report from Administration, submitted emergency declaration to the state

Chief Lara: operations going well. Had a funeral on Friday with over 100 people at the cemetery. Had trouble dispersing crowd; Chief reached out to the funeral home moving forward to ensure compliance with public health order. Funeral homes will need to coordinate with Anthony PD moving forward.     

  1. City of Sunland Park 

 Announced a new fire chief, Danny Medrano, who starts today. Will be involved with the JIC in the coming days. 

All city employees are back at the office, fully staffed. Limited hours will remain the same until further notice.  

Public health office will be open today from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. by appointment only. Moving forward, will be Wednesdays only.  

  1. City of Las Cruce 

       Sent out a news release today on no mass gatherings on Easter Sunday in public parks. The            reminder is that parks were closed on March 24 in compliance with state order.  

  1. Las Cruces Police Department  

       Police will be exploring options to keep mass gatherings from happening on Easter Sunday.  

  1. Las Cruces Public Schools 

       Transitioning into Continuous Learning Plan today. Some employees will be switching to alternate work plans. Parents received letters over the weekend about grades, learning plan, technology needs and meals. Clorox 360 teams have finished cleaning all buildings. Will be distributing materials, devices and internet access codes to those who expressed a need.  

      Starting today, remote meal distribution sites begin in conjunction with STS New Mexico.

Nothing new today, aside from a news release reminding residents to avoid mass gatherings in public spaces.  

  1. Doña Ana County Sheriff's Office 

Nothing new to update.  

  1. Doña Ana County Detention Center 

Capt. Baker – nothing new to report, operations continue as usual.  

  1. Village of Hatch 

No report.  

  1. Town of Mesilla 

Will resume Planning & Zoning meetings via Zoom, Monday, April 6 at 6 p.m. Check www.mesillanm.gov for updates and meeting invitation.    

  1. Memorial Medical Center (MMC) 

  Providing guidance to employees regarding Easter and travel advisories. Finalizing those directives today.    

Zero visitor policy still in effect.  

  1. Mountain View Regional Medical Center 

   Blood drive was very successful, so much that they would like to host another this week. Wednesday and Thursday. Ben will send flyer.  

  1. New Mexico State University 

          University has determined that all summer classes will be online.  

     Still have students living on campus, 600 students approximately. Nutrition services still ongoing, but Aggie Health & Wellness center is operating exclusively via telehealth.  

  1. New Mexico State University Police  

Nothing new to report Monday but had a busy weekend. Signage has been posted at major intersections advising against mass gatherings.     

  1. Office of Emergency Management (OEM) 

       Operations continue as usual.  

  1. Southern New Mexico Correctional Facility 

  No report Monday.  

  1. State of NM Aging & Long-Term Services - Ombudsman Program 

      Nothing new to report Monday. 

  1. Mesilla Valley Regional Dispatch Authority (MVRDA) 

Nothing new to report Monday. 

  1. U.S. Customs and Border Protection, El Paso Sector 

   No report Monday. 

  1. New Mexico Department of Health 

       Will be sending language, messaging to JIC director for a news release underscoring need to stay away from each other or we will be in crisis much longer than necessary.  

DOH will send out regular messaging on updates to numbers/testing. State will continue to shore up services and resources to tribal communities.
